Wildlife Photo Terms & Conditions
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of both our guests and wildlife, please read the following terms and conditions before participating in a wildlife photo session:
- The duration of time a koala can be held is strictly regulated under Queensland law. Photo sessions are limited to short timeframes to comply with these regulations and to prioritise the welfare of the koalas.
- Koalas and other wildlife are unpredictable and may not look directly at the camera during the session. While our team will do their best to capture a great moment, specific poses or expressions cannot be guaranteed.
- All interaction will be instigated by the animals. The behaviour of the animals or the level of interaction is not guaranteed under any circumstances.
- Holding wildlife is at the discretion of the keeper, based on the animal’s welfare and the guest’s ability to participate safely. Children may not be permitted to hold wildlife depending on individual circumstances.
- Guests must not touch the animal’s head, face, or other body parts unless explicitly directed by the handler. Contact with animals will be under the handler’s direction only.
- To ensure a smooth and timely experience that prioritises animal welfare, the photographer will capture the best possible image during your session. The photographer’s selection will be final and made with care to provide the best result.
- Photos will only be retaken or reprinted in the event of a clear and definite fault.
- No personal items or food are permitted during the photography unless otherwise approved by the Wildlife Keeper.
- Only paying participants are permitted to attend and take part in the wildlife photo experience.
- A standard family photo includes 2 adults and 2 children. Due to space restrictions, adding more people may affect photo quality and some individuals may not be fully visible. Please speak with our team on the day to discuss options.
- If you require special assistance or have mobility issues, please inform staff at the time of booking so appropriate arrangements can be made.
- Rainforestation Nature Park accepts no responsibility for any injuries sustained during the experience, or while travelling to or from the area, regardless of the circumstances.
